AMI Knowledge and KnowHow Transfer

Companies Leverage Knowledge

In parallel with conducting its research, the AMI Consortium is also developing knowledge. We have knowledge assets which we wish to transfer to companies in our Community of Interest .

Our knowledge assets can be transfered in the form of consulting contracts for special projects, or some of our experts can be hired directly, to work in companies where AMI technology will be prototyped or integrated into final solutions.

Our Knowledge and KnowHow Transfer programme begins by identifying the the supply and the demand.

Know what you have

We have identified knowledge suppliers in our Consortium. We are continually identifying Masters and PhD students, and Post docs who are interested in joining the business world, for temporary assignments or permanent positions. There are some excellent people emerging from our institutes and universities.

Know what you need

We are interested in learning what our Community of Interest members and the "Friends of AMI" need, in terms of knowledge experts, and what form they would be most likely to acquire. Are you more interested in an intern for a few months? or a full-time employee? What about a consultant for 3 to 6 months?

Begin by letting us know the skills you would most like to explore, by going to this form. Alternatively you can send an e-mail to Christine Perey.

Confidentiality

All information entered in the form is and will remain confidential to AMI Consortium technology transfer. We will introduce candidates to the COI members only upon mutual consent of the parties.

An event: September 10, 2008

On September 10, 2008, the AMI Consortium conducted a special satellite event to the MLMI 08 Conference (Utrecht, NL).

At this event, there were opportunities for AMI COI members to meet with bright people seeking positions in companies that will develop AMI-based products and services. There were also presentations by TNO and DFKI, two AMI Consortium members who provide "research for hire," and meetings designed to match the supply with the demands of our COI members.
