Idiap will participate in a Round Table discussion: Biometrics – a tool for cybersecurity?

Between comfort, security and protection of our private lives: where is technology at? What are possible applications? Where is my data? What are my rights? What may I do and what not?

UniDistance, in collaboration with the Idiap Research Institute, has launched an online distance learning program on biometrics and privacy protection (CAS Biometrics & Privacy). This program will open in April 2017 and registration is possible starting October 1st 2016.

Within this framework, a round table discussion will be organized in Martigny, assembling professors of the program, international experts as well as Swiss personalities close to this topic. Dr. Sébastien Marcel, head of Idiap’s Biometrics group and director of the Swiss Center for Biometrics Research and Testing, will be one of the contributors.
