3D FingerVein Biometrics

The aim of this project is R&D and marketing of an integrated low-cost solution for emerging countries to reliably identify people using 3D finger-vein biometrics. To achieve this, we will develop a non-intrusive sensor and 3D-reconstruction, modelling and matching algorithms. The pilot will be run in Cameroon allowing the government and other entities to reliably identify their customers, thereby greatly reducing corruption and loss of revenues.
