REAPPS

This platform will be able to acquire speech signal synchronously with physiological signals and body sounds, particularly stemming from cardiac and respiratory actions. To the best of our knowledge, such a synchronous system does not exist. Our vision, as a result of realizing said system, is to bring technologically diverse fields, namely social speech signal processing and healthcare, closer and pave the way to innovative solutions in both domains. Strength of this proposal lies in Idiap's expertise on speech processing and CSEM's expertise on physiological signal acquisition, notably ECG, respiration, and heart-rate variability (HRV) through wearable sensors.
