We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to scientific excellence. As part of our commitment, we actively support the advancement of women in science and engineering and promote diversity in the workplace.
To support this, a working group is in place to help promote diversity, equity, and inclusion values at Idiap, ensuring that every employee feels valued and supported in the workplace.
The activities of the group:
• Determine what diversity, equity and inclusion issues need to be addressed in the workplace (e.g., based on information gathered from Idiap employees).
Draft and monitor an annual action plan, consisting of DEI actions that will be tackled in the coming year.
Lead DEI actions that are within the scope of the working group’s capacity, and make informed recommendations to management for more complex or structural initiatives requiring broader involvement.
Organize activities that promote DEI values and encourage employees to expand their connections beyond their daily network.
Idiap also contributes to the national "Futur en tous genres" day to promote careers to young girls and offers a dedicated Fellowship Program for Female Researchers.
