L'Institut est un des spécialistes mondiaux de l’intelligence artificielle et perceptuelle depuis 1991.

Reconnaissance vocale et visuelle, machine learning, interactions homme-machine, robotique, analyse du langage ou encore bio-imagerie sont quelques-unes des spécialités de l'Institut. Basé à Martigny en Suisse, l’Idiap est impliqué dans des projets de recherche et de transfert de technologie tant au niveau local, national, qu'international. La Fondation à but non lucratif Idiap a été créée en 1991 par la Ville de Martigny, l’État du Valais, l’École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), l’Université de Genève et Swisscom.

Research Groups

There are currently 14 research groups at Idiap. They represent the diversity of the fields related to artificial intelligence research and technologies. These groups gather over a hundred people devoted to theoretical and applied research.
