About me

I received my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in 2011 and 2014 respectively, both from Xian Jiaotong University, China. During 2014-2015, I was an algorithm engineer in Alibaba, China. I'm currently a research assistant at the Idiap Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Jean-Marc Odobez. Meanwhile, I'm also a PhD candidate at EPFL, Switzerland.

Research

My reserach mainly focus on the extraction of non-verbal behaviors which play an important role in people's interaction. Among various non-verbal behaviors such as hand gestures, head motions or facial expressions, I mainly study and estimate the head pose and the gaze which can reveal human's attention or even high level constructs. My research is supported by MuMMER project and UBImpressed project
