About Me

I'm currently working in the Machine Learning group at Idiap Research Institute in Martigny, Switzerland. My thesis advisor is Dr. François Fleuret.

My research is on the topic of Semantic Segmentation. In particular, I work on the topic of Unsupervised Domain Adaptation for Semantic Segmentation.

I've had a variety of experiences in the past. I started off in online handwriting recognition, moved on to medical imaging processing and most recently, worked on advertisement domain problems during my stint at Amazon.

Research Scientist

I was a part of the advertisement moderation team, where I was building Machine Learning models for auto-moderation of advertisements on Amazon site using learned sentence embeddings. This was my first exposure to text representation methods. I briefly contribted to transfering knowledge from English marketplaces to others. I took several model to production for real-time consumption with database connectivity

During my Masters, I worked on handwriting recognition and signature verification for my thesis. This resulted in a publication at ICDAR 2013. I took courses on Digital Image Processing, Machine Learning, Speech Processing, Time-Frequency analysis and Artificial Neural Networks.
