On May 31, 2002 I was in Geneva in Jordi's appartment. Jordi was looking quite tensed. He said to me "I cannot believe, it is already two weeks". Two weeks back me, Jordi and Anita had a quite dinner at my place. I am sure Jordi enjoyed the dinner. But today it was a special moment in his life. He was going to get married to Anita. I said, "Man, try to relax". His mother tried to convey the same. Then we all left for the marriage office. On the way, I made a stupid mistake because of which I was not present at the marriage office when the registrar pronunced Jordi and Anita as Husband and Wife. The couple were welcomed with rice outside the marriage office. After which there was a long photo session, I took a few photos too; Jordi and Anita with their parents; Jordi and Anita with Jospeh Maria, Montse and Miha; Jordi and Anita with Chirdeep, me and Armando. Jordi was in ecstatic mood (guess why?). Slowly we all moved towards the botanical garden. On the way, we saw kids celebrating victory of Senegal over France in the world cup opener. That is when we realized what are we doing here instead of being infront of the TV. It was a pleasant weather so it was quite nice in the botanical garden. Anita showed the beautiful little rose garden to her parents. Jordi was with an intention to carry Anita upto home. But that didnot materialize. Then Anita invited on behalf of the newly wed couple, for coffee and drinks in the botanical garden. After the drinks, the couple gave a pose in the botanical garden. We were quite hungry by then, so we returned to their place for a late lunch (typical Spanish oh!!!!). For lunch, we had dishes of different countries including spicy Indian dishes. After the heavy lunch it was the time for wedding presents. Chirdeep presented the gifts we brought for the couple along with a greeting card. The couple read the card and explained the essence in Catalan and Slovene. Among the gifts was a book about Catalonia which Jordi displayed to us. Jordi's mother presented a gift from their family friend, a book (which turned out to be the second book about Catalonia) and a present from their family, espresso cups. Montse presented a very impressive gift to the couple. Jordi with the impressive gift. Then it was Armando's turn. Armando's gifts were very practical ones. After the presentation, it was the time for deciding the name of the new member of the family. Since there was not a single choice a lucky draw scheme was introduced. Anita and Jordi asked us to write 3 names in the order of preference in a sheet of paper. Anita picked the lucky name (see how handy has been Armando's gift). We are all eagerly waiting for Dana. As a back up Jordi asked Anita to pick another name. I donot want to go into this. Then it was time for cake cutting. There was one with strawberry and another with chocolate. Before eating the cake, Jordi wanted to taste it (fortunately he didnot bit off Anita's nose). After cake tasting, he gave first scoop to Anita and kept the rest for him. Ok by the time they eat cake, Let me introduce you to the guests who were present there. Jordi's parents, Jordi's brother Joseph Maria and Maria his girl friend, Jordi's sister Montse, Anita's parents, Anita's brother Miha, our dear friends MiSangre and Chirdeep. The party finally concluded with Cava tasting for the health, wealth and happy married life of the newly wed couple. After the party we had quite a good time in the evening. We started playing Uno and that went upto 4:00 AM next day morning. Jordi became the champion of Cosmos.
