Our institute is employing students in the framework of our applied Master in artificial intelligence course curriculum. Upon selection, successful candidates will work on a specific project during 18 months, while learning AI theoretical skills based on Idiap’s online courses available on the Swiss Distance Learning University platform.

Theoretical courses represent about 50% of the workload. The applicant will have to follow the theoretical training and pass the exams.

The second half of the work is dedicated to the applied learning through the development of a project linked to one of Idiap’s domains, such as robotics, speech processing, facial recognition, texts or pictures processing, biometry, etc. In collaboration with the Idiap’s R&D team, the candidate will have to:

  • Identify development opportunities to support researchers and Idiap
  • Define and implement a development project, in agreement with the manager and the researcher/s

  • We are looking for people available for a full time position and with a Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Sciences. Mastering of C++ or Python is also mandatory. Idiap’s working language is English and courses will also be in English.

    Candidates passing the final exams will obtain a 90 ECTS credits Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence.
