I work as a Postdoc Researcher at the Social Computing Group with Daniel Gatica-Perez. I graduated with a PhD from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in the area of social media in June 2013. My current research interests include social media, online video, crowdsourcing, mobile sensing, and its applications for social innovation and development.

My background expertise includes human social behavior analysis, automatic multimedia analysis, human-computer interaction and machine learning. My PhD thesis was focused on the automatic analysis of conversational video blogs. In the past, I vistited Yahoo! Labs (Barcelona), HP Labs (Palo Alto), and the International Computer Science Institute (Berkeley).
