To further enhance its endeavors towards Technology Transfer, and to replace one of its colleagues who moved to one of our spin-offs, Idiap is now seeking applications for a position as Technology Transfer Officer. Working in close collaboration with the Idiap’s management team, researchers and the head of our R&D Engineers team (currently composed of a dozen of engineers), the ideal candidate will:

  • Develop a strategy for national/international promotion and prospecting
  • Play the role of interface with industrial partners, in view of fostering the development of new projects and related training programme
  • Maintain and exploit the Idiap technology portfolio
  • Assisting researchers in technology transfer proposals (e.g., InnoSwiss)
  • In collaboration with our Legal Advisor:
    • Negotiate and monitor contracts with industries
    • Manage all Intellectual Property aspects (patents and licenses)

Required skills :
  • EPF/HEC degree or equivalent
  • Established network in the industrial (and academic) communities
  • Passionate about new technologies, and having contributed directly or indirectly to their exploitation
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity and innovation spirit
  • Autonomous and entrepreneurial
  • Talented oral and written communicator in French and English (German being a plus).

Afin d’étendre encore d’avantage ses efforts dans le secteur du Transfert de Technologie, l’Idiap met au concours le poste de Technology Transfer Officer. Collaborant étroitement avec la Direction, les chercheurs et le responsable d’une équipe d’une douzaine d’ingénieurs de développement, la personne recherchée devra :

  • Développer une stratégie de promotion et prospection internationale
  • Assurer le rôle d’interface avec les partenaires industriels, favorisant ainsi le développement de nouveaux projets exploitant les résultats de recherche de façon directe ou indirecte (innovation)
  • Maintenir à jour, valoriser, et exploiter le portefeuille de technologies
  • Aider les chercheurs dans la rédaction de projets de transfert de technologie (InnoSuisse)
  • En collaboration avec notre Legal Adviser:
    • Négocier et suivre de près les contrats industriels
    • Gérer tous les aspects de la propriété intellectuelle (brevets et licences)

Profil recherché :
  • Titre universitaire en EPF, HEC, ingénierie ou équivalent
  • Réseau international établi dans le milieu académique et industriel
  • Passionné par les nouvelles technologies, et ayant contribué directement ou indirectement à leur exploitation
  • Faisant preuve d’initiative, de créativité et d’esprit d’innovation
  • Autonome et entrepreneur
  • Grande aisance dans la communication orale et écrite en français et anglais (l’allemand étant un plus)
