Passionate about Artificial Intelligence (Torch, pyTorch), big data processing, advanced AI platforms (BEAT, reproducibility), and deep neural networks? The Idiap Research Institute is seeking talented and creative “Development Engineers” ready to join Idiap’s R&D team and to become a key player of our technology transfer activities.

Missions:
* Analyze, design and develop software prototypes in the framework of technology transfer projects with industry (including algorithm optimization, unit testing and documentation)
* Create leading-edge technology demonstrators in collaboration with researchers
* Provides programming support to researchers
* Maintain and control software quality

Required skills:
* EPF/HES degree in computer science (or equivalent)
* Strong experience in C/C++ programming under Linux environment
* Good knowledge in mathematics and statistics
* Good knowledge of Python
* Creative, open-minded and ability to work within a team
* Fluent in French and English with good communication skills

Nice-to-have skills:
* Experience in machine learning algorithms, deep learning and big data
* Experience in computer vision, speech processing, and biometrics
* Interest in multi-platform development (Windows, Linux, Mac)

Passionnés par l'Intelligence Artificielle (Torch, PyTorch), les algorithmes big data, les plateformes IA avancées (BEAT, reproductibilité) et les deep neural networks ? L'Institut de Recherche Idiap recherche de talentueux ingénieurs de développement prêts à rejoindre son équipe R&D et à devenir les acteurs clés de ses activités de transfert de technologie.

Missions :
* Analyser, créer et mettre en œuvre des prototypes logiciels dans le cadre de projets de transfert de technologie (incluant optimisation d’algorithmes, tests unitaires et documentation)
* Développer des démonstrateurs technologiques en collaboration avec les chercheurs
* Assurer un support développement aux chercheurs
* Maintenir et contrôler la qualité des logiciels issus de la recherche

Profil recherché :
* Ingénieur HES / EPF en informatique ou équivalent
* Excellente maîtrise de la programmation C/C++ sous Linux
* Bonnes connaissances en mathématiques et statistiques
* Bonnes connaissances de Python
* Créatif, ouvert d’esprit, capacité à travailler en équipe
* Très bonnes connaissances en français et anglais

Un plus :
* Expérience en algorithmes d’apprentissage automatique, deep learning et big data
* Expérience dans le traitement d’images et de vidéos, le traitement de la parole et la biométrie
* Intérêt pour le développement multiplateformes (Windows, Linux, Mac)
