Idiap has a new opening for two PhD positions in Deep Learning

The Machine Learning group at the Idiap Research Institute, affiliated with École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, seeks two PhD students in deep learning to work respectively on real-time inference in low-computation environment, and transfer learning for semantic segmentation, starting as early as possible.

The candidates will be doctoral students at the EPFL, working at the Idiap Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. François Fleuret.

Applicants must be self-sufficient programmers and have a strong background in mathematics. They should be interested in, and familiar with, applied probabilities, information theory, signal processing, optimization, algorithmic, and development in deep-learning frameworks.

The interested candidate should submit her/his application through the Idiap online recruitment system: Two PhD positions in Deep Learning
