Idiap has a new opening for a Post-doctoral position on learning invariant embeddings for face recognition

The Computer Vision and Learning group at the Idiap Research Institute (http://www.idiap.ch/cvl) invites applications for a postdoctoral-position on the development of invariant embeddings for face recognition.

Applicants should have a strong background in machine learning applied to computer vision, with a particular interest for object detection and recognition, feature design and large-scale learning. They should have a publication record in top-tier venues (TPAMI, JMLR, CVPR, ICCV, NIPS, ICML, etc.), have excellent programming skills, and have very good knowledge of (some of) the standard machine-learning frameworks (Torch, Theano, Caffee, Tensor flow).

Appointment for the position is for 15 months, and may be renewed depending on funding opportunities. Salary on the first year starts at 80'000 CHF (gross salary). Starting date is as early as possible.
